Homebrewers Ball

The homebrewers Ball was a huge success! Thanks to all that helped and everyone that came and enjoyed the evening. Hopefully MT can post some stats for us, and some pictures as well.

Judging by reactions from the Thunder River Theater directors and many of our guests, the "first annual" Homebrewers Ball was a home run. Kudos to all the brewers who made it happen. Next year, we already know how much fun we can have, and more.

For those who wish-they'd been-there, you are of course, future brewers and our next-year-guests. Let's keep this "fun with homebrew" train rolling. Good for the community, good for the homebrew club, and great for local "artisanal brewers".

Now if only I can figure out how to upload photos into this blog, everyone can see a few beer-soaked smiles.

Homebrewers Ball Stats:

145 People attended, including 15 staff (brewers and actors), on a snowy night. Many rode the bus;

12 beautiful beers, characterized by 12 beautiful "beer label" posters, were voted on by 58 people, and Jeremy's "Shellabration Stout" won the day. Cool beans, Jeremy! Now we should figure out what you're gonna get for that honor . . .

Of 12 "Guest Beer Label" designs submitted, "YUMPI Ale" won the voting. "YUMPI" means young urban mountain professional. Brent & Jen Moss won this contest, and will be receiving a case of YUMPI Ale in February or March. I'll start brewing as soon as they tell me what style of beer YUMPI's like?

Lon Winston and Valerie Haugen, theater directors, were thrilled with how smoothly we made this event happen. We have their very enthusiastic "thumbs up" for many encores to come.

Thank you again, everyone. A noble accomplishment!
