On Saturday September 1, Sustainable Settings will host "Slow Money" author Woody Tasch, for a Regional Gathering from 10 am to 4 pm.  Tasch's book Slow Money has inspired an emerging network of investors, donors, farmers and entrepreneurs committed to building local food economies.  It's the beginning of the "nurture capital industry".
The annual Sustainable Settings Harvest Festival will follow, from 4 pm to 9 pm, featuring some great local chefs, Aspen Brewing Co's beer, and Big B's new Hard Cider, as well as their entire line of organic ciders.
RF HAMS members are invited to serve homebrew at the event.  Each brewer will receive two free tickets to the Harvest Festival, which is well known for its culinary prowess.  Jeremy and I have both brewed for this event in the past couple of years.  The food is superb, and the bluegrass lawn dancing after dinner is great fun.
